#Godot problems can anyone help? I shouldn’t be able to click on the sword button whilst the enemy is attacking but I can, also the player HP is not updating when the enemy attacks. Code is below #GameDev #SoloDev #IndieDev again this is adapted from a #GodotEngine 3 tutorial, help pls 😿😿😿

Ok I’ve just been making notes and not gonna lie - I’m having fun even if it’s #GodotEngine 3. Plus the comments in the video (so far, only two videos in) show how to convert it to #Godot 4. Was searching for a series for a while for a game like this #SoloDev #GameDev #IndieDev

Making notes is what I've always done when I followed a tutorial for anything. Just following along doesn't make you remember the things you're doing imo. Eventually you want to be doing the things by yourself (because you have the need), that's when you start remembering.

Still in two minds about the #20GamesChallenge On the plus side it’s hammered home that my engine of choice is #Godot #GodotEngine but I find my enthusiam dropping for some of these games - I thought I’d finished the Frogger clone and I hadn’t (that was quite dull)

Back on #20GamesChallenge this is Asteroids, made only using notes. I did try to be fancier with cooler assets for the asteroids but couldn’t get what I wanted to work and couldn’t find any answers anywhere so just went for it with these assets #Godot #GodotEngine #SoloDev #IndieDev #GameDev

This whole thread is #GameDev #SoloDev #IndieDev wisdom. It took me a few months of flip flopping to finally choose a game engine ( #Godot and even then I had difficulty picking a version!), and then it was a case of which tutorials to go with so I’ve bounced around courses/tutorials too.

What on earth is happening?

This had become the new normal. RNLI crew members had been forced to take their permits off their cars after their tyres have been repeatedly slashed. Most of them have been pilloried at the school gates or turned away from local pubs. One man who worked in search and rescue had been beaten unconscious and hospitalised, recognised for TV interviews he had done.
