But it was really cool, because everything we talk about, it is so obvious that we were pretty similar throughout our respective years. Both were/are nerds, both played sports, both pretty lazy in school until it finally caught up to us and we had to learn how to study.

Lovely day out today, and the 85 year old neighbor/friend was out walking. Pretty sure it made both of our days. We have these 10 minute conversations about once a week, and they're always so fun. When we started talking, he said, "I had hoped you were out here today!"

Lions 3 for 3 on 4th downs. Mentioned this in my day-after column last week. Lions are at their best pushing the aggressiveness. Going for it on 4th downs, playing man. They'll lose some, but good that they're back to it today. You can tell the difference. And it helps refs letting DBs play

Lol. And I wish! They all beg me to play games with them if I'm outside playing. They even rebound for me when I shoot hoops (which is kind of annoying and kind of amazing). Their favorite game is Pufferfish, where I blow up real big and chase them around, but then I deflate, and they attack me.

Two high school kids always wave to me (I wave back) every single time they drive by and I'm in the garage (maybe even when I'm not) And even though I've never talked to either of them, I always think, "Those are such nice, young kids." I've apparently entered my grandparent phase at age 39

I remember teams mucking up their listed heights back in middle and high school, because we didn't have any film. We'd gameplan, and then vs certain teams, half of the kids would be half a foot different (which it's not like anything changed for us, it was just goofy). It makes no sense in the NBA.

It's funny: I like baseball. Games in person are a blast, but I opened up youtube tv and saw Braves v Dodgers and New Mexico State vs FIU (NCAAF), and I realized I'd probably enjoy watching the relatively meaningless NCAAF game more than the playoff baseball game.

Lol, "Don't he reckless with closeouts on the shooter." Defenders aren't allowed to be within a 3 foot radius of shooters already, due to them splaying out their legs. The only reason it would be reckless is because they aren't allowed to move like actual defenders.
