Does Google have a counting problem? Or perhaps the camera is £499, you pay an extra £100 for the rest of the phone? Either way v odd (from Google's own web site)

Sure, every day is unusual now in markets. But still: Up today (as of a minute ago): S&P futures, oil, bond yields, gold, AND the dollar. Nothing makes sense any more.

Will it be exported via Lithuania (where it used to go), Latvia, Poland, Ukraine - or Russia? EU would need to lift sanctions before it could go via first three I believe, Ukraine obvious no, US just imposed new sanctions on Russia (market unclear if they apply to fertilizer, Platts said last week)

NASA picture of the day today is a real 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿beauty! This is a composite image of the ~5000yo Callanish Stones on the Isle of Lewis. The imposing Callanish Stones stand talk with their shadows spanning out across the glass. It's a super clear sky, but looks cold. Above the central stone is a strange figure-of-8 shape of dots. This is the location of the Sun, at noon, on various different days across the year.

So, it's true you lost a lot of money if you bought 30-year U.S. Treasurys at close to 0% in 2020. It could be worse: You could have bought the Austrian 100-year, British 50-year or Japanese 40 year.

@katie0martin.ft.com I don't get your point on the 30y yield. Are you saying that's driving the yen? Japanese 30y yields are up ~50bp this year, the 30y UST yield is up ~35bp. So if anyone did 30y carry trades (pretty sure that isn't a thing) it should have led to a stronger yen
