What Rep. Dan Goldmen describes is not “detention.” It’s state-sanctioned abuse, and it’s what happens when human beings are disappeared into systems with no accountability.

Good evening. First and foremost I want to thank the jury for its service. Jurors perform a fundamental civic duty.  Their service is literally the cornerstone of our judicial system.

The way I see it, two things need to happen to save our democracy from Donald Trump: [1] Trump must be IMPEACHED and REMOVED. - Trump has to be held accountable, and not just as a formality. - We also need formal investigations into ALL members of his Executive Branch

The story of the Iran war is that Trump lost it in the first days. Everything since has been trying to deny that cardinal fact. You can see this by the fact that everything happening since has been trying to break free Iran’s hold on the strait, something it didn’t have before the war.

A reminder while Republicans bitch about Dems finishing the redistricting fight they started: they have full control of gov’t— they can pass a law banning gerrymandering any time they want. They won’t. Republicans aren’t mad gerrymandering exists; they’re mad that they’re not the only ones using it.

Think about that.

Trump is not well. We need the 25th amendment before something really bad happens on US soil.

I don't think I'll ever get over Clarence Thomas ruling on cases related to Jan 6 knowing that his wife was an active participant in the attempted coup. Or ruling on cases related to government regulations and a wealth tax knowing he took gifts from billionaires. It's a disgrace.

Yes it’s good Trump backed down from his threat to commit war crimes. But that doesn’t change the fact that the sick demented malignant narcissist continues to play brinksmanship getting nothing in return - on war and tariffs - while declaring victory and pivoting straight to more insanity.

To be clear: the SAVE Act does not simply require the identification voting ALREADY requires. It demands proof of CITIZENSHIP— a birth certificate with a name that matches yours now (bye, bye, married women), or a passport— both of which are expensive and take a long time to obtain.
