Pope Leo calls for humanity to guide artificial intelligence use
Pope Leo calls not for a rejection of new technology but its embrace with “gratitude and realism,” and matches these affirmations with equal caution.

If you only focus on financial outcomes (which are real and important), you miss all the things colleges do for students, including those who don't come from the upper class.

Working on my book about Catholic higher education. Turns out research suggests that cuts—tuition, programs, core, faculty— don't save colleges. They may give a short-term boost but often make things worse long-term. Cuts frame education economically and make the college look like a discount store.
