We stand with the @psraofficials.bsky.social against the physical intimidation and sexist abuse directed at a match official by an MLS NEXT Pro coach. MLS NEXT Pro must protect their officials, demand proper treatment of women, and enforce real accountability. #RespectTheRefs

The Bucket Hat Brigade stands firmly with the Professional Referee Association (PSRA) in condemning the unacceptable actions of the MLS NEXT Pro head coach who physically intimidated and verbally demeaned a female match official.

Forcefully grabbing an official and uttering sexist remarks like "Don't forget, this is a man's game" has absolute zero place in soccer—or anywhere else.

A two-game suspension is a slap on the wrist that completely ignores U.S. Soccer's own mandatory minimums for physical grabs and acts of discrimination, which require at least a three-game suspension each. Coaches must be held to a higher standard, not given a pass when they violate basic dignity and safety guidelines.

Women enrich every single level of the beautiful game. They deserve respect, safety, and full support on the pitch—not harassment and light-handed discipline. MLS NEXT Pro must reevaluate this decision and enforce real accountability.

So much this. It has no consciousness, no remorse, no joy, no shame, no sorrow. It doesn't care that you asked it to apologize or gave it punishment, it is just an interface to a machine and when it doesn't give you a result you expected, you asked it in a way that caused that result.

#MNUFC That is BAD officiating by Allen Chapman. It's a well-established soccer referee principle that if the GK is injured play should be stopped immediately. It's such a liability to not have a capable GK that play stoppage is mandatory. Dike scoring into an open net there is bullshit.
