I love this final score because the utterly pathetic defensive effort on Villa’s last 2 goals are the reason #COYS took no points. Like if the losers on the field had made an ounce of effort for 15 minutes we’d be talking about the spirited fightback instead.

The amusing thing about that penalty is Yeboah has been fouled much more obviously and much harder like a dozen times in his #MNUFC career and a penalty has not been given.

Since Leagues Cup ended #MNUFC has given up 17 goals in 5 1/2 games. Last year they gave up 39 goals all season. For comparison, the defensive pace over the last 5.5 games would yield 106 GA for the season. The league record is 78.

It is truly remarkable how many times #COYS players missed slip passes and channel runs today. It's like they have some mindset that the ball has to go in a certain pattern and have no ability to be creative or look for holes in the defense.

All due seriousness, the once-upon-excitement about this GAM stash that we all thought would help the team add depth and payroll has been offset by the fact that GAM is not real actual money and the team still has to pay the salary of the player GAM is used for, and we are, in fact, cheap.
