Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.

tumblr is having a great one about this, little masterpiece of a post I'd say

first post reads: Pro-censorship wattpad refugees drama is so funny to me because when I started using ao3 as a kid I was a devout mormon and I thought that reading anything even remotely pornagraphic was a sin and would ruin my life. So when I was 13 and found ao3 I went "oh awesome I found a fanfic website with a filtering system so I won't ever randomly stumble into porn. This is great! I was really worried about seeing something I didn't want to see on the other platforms." I didn't read any smut online until like three years later. If a mormon 13 year old can figure out 'don't like don't read' wattpad users can too cmon you guys i believe in you.
reblog reads: "you're less internet savy than a 13 year old mormon" is a diabolical thing to say to someone, I support it

Trending The online writing platform Wattpad is removing sexually explicit content and adult-themed stories from its site. In response to the new content guidelines, writers are moving their portfolios to Archive of Our Own to avoid permanent deletion. The shift marks a significant change in the platform's long-standing hosting policies for independent fiction authors and readers.

THEYRE DOING THINGS TO THIS GUY YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE #dispatch

Robert Robertson, disgruntled, shirt open, arms tied up behind his head with a red tie, on the office carpet with paperwork and office supplies strewn about beneath him!! That’s crazy!!! Who would draw such a thing!! Photos of the Z-team are also on the floor depicting them in varied states of happiness about getting their picture taken. Let’s look at Robert’s bare naked torso again. Wow. That’s awesome. In the bottom right is a doodle of Sonar cheerfully presenting his SDN’S SEXIEST photo calendar to Robert, who has his shirt on here and is rejecting the pitch. Very sad for everyone involved. Let’s look at Robert’s bare chest again. What were we talking about?
