Oh this is exciting and backed by a murderer’s row of atproto knowers. Makes perfect sense for science to be embracing the protocol like this.

Huge congratulations to the EmDash team, what an incredible and ambitious project. The plugin registry is built on atproto, which will keep it locked open, and it's Atmospheric with @standard.site built-in to the default plugins.

I loved Jaz’s earlier version and this new one is even better. This is the kind of thing that’s literally impossible to build on other social platforms, not for any technical reason but because they choose to keep their platforms locked.

Found a conventional use for atproto (replacing high school state associations/athletic conference/school sports websites) the other day and built a spec because I couldn't help myself. it's live but I'll share a blog post about it before sharing
Working protoype of a site called varsityapex which uses standard.site and is stacked so you can have a high school athletics site, an athletic conference and the association site all integrated without hosting them in the same place/platform
