Any politician calling to leave the ECHR is lying about what that will achieve. It won’t solve any problem or improve our lives It will make us worse off and remove our rights. Just like Brexit. The ECHR belongs to us all. It’s not theirs to take. Please sign www.europeanmovement.co.uk/echr-petition

London is getting a new museum showing off Roman and medieval fortifications
A section of the Roman Wall and a medieval bastion, hidden beneath an office building for decades, will open to the public this December in a new free museum.

A sculpture by Fenwick Lawson in St Mary the Virgin on Holy Island. The monks are carrying the coffin of St Cuthbert as they leave the island in 875. The sculpture is made of elm and is called ‘The Journey’. Stunning. #TombTuesday #HolyIsland

while doing some research I came across the greatest headline I have ever read & I can’t believe I missed this in 2011
Telegraph headline:
Paul Daniels injured in Sooty pizza-throwing accident
Paul Daniels, the magician, was taken to hospital with head injuries after being hit in the face by a pizza thrown by the puppet Sooty.

#StandingStoneSunday well almost, just not the standing bit. The St Levan stone in the graveyard of St Levan Church, Cornwall is said to date from pre Christian times, associated with fertility rites and that St Levan split it in two with his staff.
