I've seen everyone sharing that US Dialect Quiz so I decided to make my own, much crappier, CANADIAN DIALECT QUIZ to guess where in Canada you're from

A flow chart I have created with multiple questions and the answers determine where you're from.

Question 1 is do you call it a hydro bill (which then branches down to ON, QC, BC, MB) or an electric bill (which then branches down to SK, AB, NS, NB, PEI, NL)

Question 2 is do you call it a cabin (BC, MB, AB, SK) cottage (ON and atlantic) camp (northern Ontario) chalet (QC) or bungalow (Cape Breton)

To delineate BC from MB: do you call it dinner or supper

To delineate southern Ontario rural or big city: have you heard of a stag & doe

To delineate SK from AB: do you call a hoodie a bunnyhug

And finally to delineate NL from the other atlantic provinces: whaddayat? (Correct answer: dis is it b'y)

The Value Villages here in Ottawa throw out any that don't sell at their (relatively expensive) prices so sadly many of them go to the landfill. (Not recycling. I asked.)

When we lived in a rougher part of Ottawa there was a sign in the laundry room that said "Milano Pizza Delivery Guys Stop Peeing in the Garbage Can!!!!!" The Milanos was like 750 metres away and presumably had a bathroom (??).

Yesterday @613flea I complimented a kid on his cool Sens jersey and he told me that he just got it there. I said "perfect timing, there's a game tonight!" and his dad said "well if they win it's because of your new jersey!" and that kid better wear it every GD game day because it worked last night

The Pierre Berton books about the War of 1812 made clear to me that a large part of why Canada successfully repelled the invasion was the First Nations people who participated on the Canadian side. Glad to see they are represented in the art. Push on, brave York volunteers.
