The house we are renting came with grape vines so tried our hand at stuffed vine leaves. i remember picking grape leaves with my grandma. So much better with fresh leaves.

Instead of sharing beautiful pictures with @dafadool.bsky.social at the Grand Canyon, reached the rim to learn of the deadly campus shooting back home, the 2nd on campus and 3rd to hit our community in ~10 yrs. Heart breaking. Thankful our students and friends are safe but the impact long lasting.

We're disappointed to see Ben Barres's powerful book "The Autobiography of a Transgender Scientist" among the ~400 titles removed from the Naval Academy Library. Needless to say, we're proud to have published his book and will keep it — and his memory — alive.

Five things I did this week. 1. We made our first trip to Yellowstone. 2. Took cross country ski lessons and tour with amazing instructors. 3. Snowshoed a little used trail. 4. Watched a pack of wolves march from high in the treeline to the river. 5. Recorded my first sighting of a golden eagle.

From top to bottom, rod outer segments in dark green, red/green cone outer segments in red, cone nuclei in pink, rod nuclei in light blue, cone terminals in orange, and inner nuclear layer cells in royal blue.
