Literally this, it’s not like this didn’t used to happen - just give actors time to prepare and understand, truly connect with the work Covering all context with a big curtain and saying “you can’t look back there” only helps you speed up the process, which I’m sure is the goal.

2026's been rough, but I've been lucky to make cool things with pals and even do a bit of solo-tinkering... But I just caught that there's a throughline of "life-states/circumstances as transient" in all the things I've spearheaded this year (even "OWiA!"), which is funniest to present like this:

Yara isn't "weird" because she's a girl. She's "weird" because she got dumped in a feral colony as a kitten and (very logically) is reactive if she doesn't feel in control of her body. …but she loves pets once she knows you're safe. She enjoys being included in conversations. She's a fast learner.
