I have ascended to a new plane of wastelander evolution. Rather than collecting interesting scrap from the desert, or using stuff like bottle openers or jewelry I find, I have for the first time fixed a broken thing (some outdoor furniture) with a bolt I found in the desert. Time to make some shit.

Three parallel steel arms (an outdoor couch's folding sunshade) are attached to a steel support bar with bolts and washers. One is rusted and brown.

Miscellaneous bolts, washers, screws, bullet cases, bottle caps, and other desert detritus lie in a drawer, sorted into dusty ziploc bags according to form and function.

This sounds like the setup to a joke, but isn't: Taking this class genuinely helped me reconnect with/be less upset by kid-me, who used to do silly vestibular fold stuff but scared myself out of it as a teen…meaning I lost that power for ~a decade. It's a super rad look at your vocal anatomy, too!
