A good start, but we can make much bolder demands as a movement. Worker dividends, community benefits, shortening the standard workweek. The Knights of Labor demanded the creation of a Bureau of Labor Statistics in 19th century. What's our AI equivalent to that? Tracking it's use, impact, etc.

I taught incarcerated firefighters who worked for criminally low wages. It's considered the best job in the prison, because you get to go out, do something valuable, and eat real food. It's also wildly dangerous, and they are given the worst jobs...literally pulling remains out of charred homes.

Tomorrow will be 12 weeks since Hurricane Helene hit the NC mountains and it still looks like a war zone. This is leaving my house heading towards Asheville. The richest man in the world and shadow president vetoed a bipartisan bill that provided funds for recovery efforts. What an asshole!
