This article is extremely problematic - it isn’t based in evidence, glorifies cops, includes salacious photos of the minors, and excludes the perspectives of sex workers’ rights organizations. Empirical evidence demonstrates that decriminalizing adult sex work makes it easier to report trafficking.

I went to a talk this week about prostitution from a Marxist perspective. The speaker claimed not to be abolitionist but to put forward a 3rd position between abolitionism & regulationism. But the entire time she still used the term “women in a situation of prostitution.”
