G'day I celebrated the new month by blowing bubbles in the park (a reminder to cherish the simple joys in life) I also handed out a few bubble wands to other people (you never know who needs bubbles and/or a kind word!) I hope that October brings you both health & happiness Take care 😊

At Piney Lakes Reserve today I saw a family with very young children walking in the middle of the off-leash dog area They were guarding a turtle as it walked from one of the Reserve's wetland areas to another It is thoughtful, caring acts like this that gives me hope for humanity Take care 😊

I’m Ben. I’m autistic. Diagnosed at 5. By 19, I’d lost both my parents. I’ve faced bullying, grief, loneliness, and moments when I didn’t think I could keep going. But I’m still here. I turned pain into purpose. Setbacks into strength.

Healing didn’t happen overnight. I’ve faced grief, loneliness, setbacks, and days when I struggled to believe in myself. But little by little, I rebuilt the hope and confidence I thought I had lost. Eight years later, I’m still here. And I’m gratefulI I stayed. ❤️

Eight years ago, I hit rock bottom. I was hospitalized for my #MentalHealth and genuinely believed I would never feel okay again. I felt lost, alone, and convinced that the pain I was feeling would never end. I couldn’t see the life I have today. But I kept going.

Today on #WorldSuicidePreventionDay, I want anyone who is struggling to know that I understand. I know what it feels like to believe the pain will never end. Eight years ago, I couldn’t see past mine. Today, I’m grateful I stayed long enough to see what came next. 😊

NASA Astronomy Hourly Picture - 2002-06-02: Cracks and Ridges on Europa #Astronomy #NASA #Space
Which way to the interstate? What appears to be a caricature of a complex highway system on Earth is actually a system of ridges and cracks on the icy surface of Jupiter's moon Europa. The distance between parallel ridges in the above photograph is typically about 1 kilometer. The complexity of the cracks and ridges tell a story of Europa's past that is mostly undecipherable -- planetary geologists try to understand just the general origin of the overall features. One noteworthy feature is the overall white sheen, possibly indicating the presence of frost. Another is the dark centers between parallel ridges, which might indicate that dirty water from an underground ocean recently welled up in the cracks and froze. Recent research indicates that enough carbon exists to support an underwater biosphere, but that Europa's ice crust may be over three kilometers thick in some places.
