This started in August when some white farmers killed two black women workers and fed them to their pigs. Then people were rightfully upset and got after the farmers. I was in SA when this happened and it became a big deal.

For those who don't know a K01 is a training grant for early career researchers. Typically 4-5years to help them launch their research careers. It protects up to 75% time for research. Rescinding awarded K level grants is throwing a grenade into an already tenuous research pipeline.

Don’t be dumb. Nobody thinks that farm workers are doing this. I lived in California. The farming industry is awful and it has nothing to do with them. Some farms have terrible working conditions that should be illegal. People are humans trying to survive. I am always for workers rights. Relax.
