So it turns out that in January, *2003*, I wrote an article for @discovermagazine.bsky.social about melting Himalayan glaciers. Quote: "melting glaciers that they could burst their banks within five to 10 years. Hundreds of thousands of people could drown as roads, bridges [...] wash away."

This is an article in Discover Magazine, January 2003, in which I wrote that "A report issued by the United Nations Environment Program in April [2002] says at least 44 lakes in Nepal and Bhutan are filling so rapidly with icy water from melting glaciers that they could burst their banks within five to 10 years. Hundreds of thousands of people could drown as roads, bridges, and hydroelectric plants wash away."

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.
