Yall snarking at the "young people" from tiktok not coming here bc they can't read is giving the same energy as when moms go "look who decided to come see us!" At their teen coming out of their rooms and then being surprised they don't do it more when that's the reception they get.

How to write: Stop not writing. Keep your butt in the chair. Write really bad small sections of the whole—passages, moments, episodes, memories—til you have an incredibly shitty 1st draft. Then take out the boring parts, the lies and pretensions. Then write a better 2nd draft.

Writing is a lot like weight training. You won't be able to lift a lot at first. You start small. Short session, light weights. Day by day though you get just a *little* stronger. Eventually your sessions get longer, the bars get heavier, and everyone says "I could never do that." Just like you did.

Finished it. It's extremely well-written, I couldn't put it down. The whole time I read it with a building sense of dread....and then the ending absolutely pissed me off beyond words. 4/5 stars with a more detailed review to come.
