I love how Julia Fox treats the Criterion closet like Cinemark’s Bring your Own Popcorn bucket deal. I’d do this too.

It is with a very heavy heart that I share the passing of the beautiful, talented, kind and loving Olivia Hussey on December 27. One of the loveliest people I’ve ever known, let alone had the honor and pleasure to work with. Special condolences to daughter India Eisley and her partner David Eisley.

I have been fascinated by the type of Twitter liberal who was relevant 10 years ago, isn’t now, and refuses to move over like a Japanese soldier on an island, fighting a war they lost decades ago, all because they know they have no real avenue for followers anymore. Sad and weird.

At some point, if all goes well, you stop taking pride in arcane knowledge about niche topics and you start taking pleasure in sharing your passion with as many people who are obviously interested as possible. Our time here to learn and live is brutally short. Don't keep gates. Hold them open. Wide.

RRR is the most exhilarating, emotionally charged, and purely cinematic experience of this century. Every explosion, every fight sequence, every dance move (Naatu Naatu, anyone?) has so much emotional weight behind it. This isn't just spectacle for spectacle's sake…it's storytelling at its peak.

In 1969 we put a man on the moon. In 2024 I’m buying a bluray player off Temu for £17 to see if it actually works. Exploration isn’t dead. If you can dream it, you can do it.
