The ultrawealthy aren’t just pulling away from average Americans. Buoyed by a stock-market boom that's added trillions of dollars to their net worth, the extremely rich are even pulling away from other rich Americans.

The AI build-out is on track to become the biggest economic bet in U.S. history, dwarfing the investments made to fund other huge U.S. infrastructure projects such as the railroads, the highway system and the plumbing for the internet.

The AI Build-Out Is Becoming the Biggest Economic Bet in U.S. History
Data-center spending is greater than that for canals, railroads, and grid combined—creating jobs and stock-market wealth, while boosting inflation and crowding out housing.

I, for one, look forward to an Odyssey where the bits people remember best - the Trojan horse, the Cyclops, the Sirens, Circe, Hades, the oxen - only take up about a fifth of the screen time, and are all told retrospectively. Also, I've been meaning to learn Greek.
