Pretty much same… 1. Bluesky, my twitter replacement. Sometimes I miss the volume of data available on twitter, but it became unbearable with anger/hate/algorithms. 2. Reddit - use in spurts. Sometimes a good source of info, often just a cesspool 3. Facebook - I have an acct just for marketplace

An objectively unpopular President puts his name on a culturally revered building. Ticket sales suffer. Then they close the building for 2 years. Who could imagine they’d go bankrupt? Putting Trump’s name back on the building is decidedly not the solution to that problem.

I’d like to believe I would have risked my career & livelihood to get up & leave, or just not attend the #WHCD tonight. I really believe I would have. Anyone who’s ever been a middle mgr has sat through some BS meeting they disagreed with. But, I think this would’ve been a bridge too far for me.

I say this as a Minnesotan w/ asthma who suffers through Canadian smoke yearly lately it seems. There are 2 things IMO that could solve: 1) get a control on & reverse climate change, and 2) ban people from living in heavily forested areas so officials can prescribed burn w/o risk to life & property

Ask those in charge of the Boundary Waters in Minnesota, where 50k+ acres are currently on fire, how easy it is to clear Millions of acres of dead brush & trees. There are still trees down from a blow down in 1999 that are currently on fire b/c you can’t get logging trucks back into dense forest.

I think you’re right: partisan outrage is often just theater. I heard someone say after watching how many country’s fans were getting along & enjoying their time together for the World Cup that it’s our leaders that tell us to hate each other and without them most of us would get along quite well.
