My favourite way to filter co-workers to see whom I can get on well with is the simplest bit of workplace humour in chat - write a message in normal informal English, apply strikethrough style to that, then repeat the message in business bullshit LinkedInSpeak. If they don't get it.... Yeah.

Paris has been praised in recent years for their visionary, progressive city-building, but they don’t get enough credit for just being really pragmatic! Everything they’ve been doing is common sense. They’re moving a lot more people with less space while cleaning the air and cooling the city.

I don't understand the need to say dickwad CEOs can't make good stuff. This is the world we live in. A lot of my favorite things in the arts and sciences come from absolute bastards. The real argument should be about how to channel dickwaddery into good social outcomes, not whether the stuff works.

The insufficient growth of renewable energy in Australia is was bad before the data centre boom, but that insufficiency persists even as the target finish line moves further and further away as projected demand grows.
New capacity required to meet 2030 targets (gigawatts): wind about 2 GW under construction versus ~18 GW required, solar about 3–4 GW under construction versus ~22 GW required.

No, we don't want to let ourselves crash headlong into climate change. No, we don't want to side with a deranged fascist US Empire in its final throes. No, we don't want to take part in any genocide.
