I’m so happy to share that I’ll be joining Tufts CS as an Assistant Professor in January 2026! 🥳 I’ll be recruiting PhD students this upcoming cycle, so keep an eye out for more info if you’re interested in accessibility, AI, and HCI! (1/2)

Sad to miss #CHI2025 in person. @masooman.bsky.social will be presenting remotely on Wednesday, results from an interesting cross-level study with design students (pre- and post-genAI) and professionals to understand their different value systems and usage with respect to generative AI in design.

interesting paper from @isabel.li et al digging into what it means to “misuse” a creative tool – reminiscent in some ways of game studies work around “counterplay”, playing a game in ways it wasn’t “meant to be” played jingyi.me/static/misus...

My #CSUN talk is today! 2:20pm. You don't want to miss it. We'll be talking about our personalization + accessibility prototype for our data visualization research at @highcharts.bsky.social. Takeaways? We built a really cool system + ran 2 research studies. We have loads of guidelines to share.

The question, "Is one size fits all really enough for chart accessibility?" is shown on top of a dashboard of three data visualizations.

I don’t want to see any ai emojis I want to see real innovation: make your own emojis via collage

Text message from Kayla reads: ‘AGHHH I just finished the first book I’m going insane’. Then she sent a collage of emojis: a person yelling and pulling their hair, holding two book emojis, with two tear drop emojis. I responded with a sticker of a dog in bed, and added a sticker of a kindle, saying ‘me soon hopefully’
