This is our first time watching The Traitors in any iteration. It's like a sociology experiment in how people take tiny seeds of random behaviour and accrete meaning around them.

I assume that you know that there is an attack on the academic world right now and this behaviour from tech or tech-adjacent folks like SE Gyges, Rev Arson, etc. reeks of it.

Hummingbirds.
A four panel comic. In panel 1, a rufous hummingbird flies down toward a large hummingbird feeder with as many as 6 holes on top. He thinks "The humans put up a new feeder!" In panel 2, he lands on the feeder and gazes down at it. He thinks "It's huge. Many of us could feed here at once." In panel 3, we see a close up view of the hummingbird, and he's thinking "This could end the ancient rivalries. Usher in an era of peace. Interesting." In panel 4, an Anna's hummingbird hovers over the feeder and says "Hey, can I have some necta-" and the rufous hummingbird says "No."

I guess it's kind of hard to view the dismissal of one grublike phrenologist as a major hit to free speech after major American universities have in the past year banned the use of words and eliminated entire departments in the hopes of pleasing the senile president

Further, who does and does not have a department is a question of academic freedom as the existence of a department (and limitedly a program) is a recognition of the existence of a field of inquiry and a space from which to engage in inquiry.

My Lit Publications and Design class finished their final products and I'm very proud of them, and I want to show a few of their handmade chapbooks, hand-folded blizzard books, and broadsides
A chapbook cover with "Parasite" as the written title. The cover art has a red hand with puppeteer strings descending to the words of the title. A covered blizzard book with the words "Kitchen Bin Menagerie" A red string ties the blizzard book closed. The cover has a floral and butterfly print paper and a decorative chain across the top. A post-and-screw bound book with a cover that has a map surrounding an inset with a quilt square. A broadside with a poem called "Road Kill" and a picture of a deer with a fawn. The deer has a halo. The words of the poem are illegible from this distance.
