Also, don't worry, Bounty: A Price to Pay is progressing as well. Still targeting a 2027 release for that too!

My editor is working on what may be (according to her) the last round of notes on Even Gods Need Thieves!! I've also engaged an artist for the front and back cover art! All I need now is someone to do typography and layout 👀 Looks like my promised 2027 release could come sooner! #BookSky💙📚

We Tracked a Shipment of Rare Books. It Ended at an Amazon AI Training Facility
We placed a tracking device in a shipment of rare books to see which AI company was buying it, and found an Amazon facility where Amazon scans and destroys books.

Despite myths that there's "incredible demand for AI," 70%+ of hyperscaler AI revenues come from OpenAI and Anthropic. In FY26, $24.1bn of Microsoft's $34.33bn in AI revenue came from OpenAI - meaning that GPU rentals and AI software are single-digit billion dollar businesses.

For writers worried that they won't be able to "prove" their work isn't Spicy Autocomplete--worry not. You thought about every choice and will be able to talk about those choices easily and clearly. Folks who used the slop machine didn't make choices and won't have anything to say about why

Monthly reminder: Many people have a book in them, but it takes a special kind of freak to leave the Land of Laziness, cross the Plains of Procrastination and Insecurity Mountain, find the Blade of No One Made You Do This, and use it to cut your chest open and yank that book out.

lol it is genuinely so important to crawl out of your filthy little woodland mudhole from time to time and go to a convention or conference in your industry. The perspective readjustment in invaluable. Comics/publishing can be so isolating, it's VERY EASY to get the wrong idea about a LOT.
