By no means does this make it "bad', it is a perfectly cromulent movie. But it does feel like there was a hint of something truly special and remarkable in there, but they couldn't find it. Puppy Krypto is so damn cute though! Worth watching, but you should absolutely read Woman of Tomorrow.

The other criticism that I think is correct is the mismatch with the target audience. This feels like it should be mostly aimed at teenage girls & early 20s young women, but didn't get it quite right, and the audience demographics support that.

It shifts rather wildly, which didn't bother me, but also made things feel disjointed. Space techno pirates & fun fighting, then gross alien poop snacks, that jived with Lobo very well. But the important, core to the story, ethics of revenge plotline crashed against that fun but never quite fuzed.

But there was a lot of "cool" mixed in there, so it was fun, though Kara having multiple opportunities to grab the antidote & just not doing so was very frustrating. Krumholtz was fantastic as Zor-El. But I love him in everything, so I'm biased. The tonal critique that I read feels correct.

Jason Momoa was born to play Lobo, he's absolutely perfect. A lot of the later action was confusing, the brown dirt obscuring everything, where everyone was, how many dudes there were, that felt very haphazard and hard to follow. Also the stakes were very muddy at that point.

Finally watched Supergirl. Loved the acting. Kara's emotional journey was very good. I get why they changed the ending from WoT and it works, especially to show the differences between Kara & Clark. But Woman of Tomorrow is probably the greatest comic every made, so it's impossible to compare.

I hope Lanterns gets a home media release.

That was my first thought with Shadow Lord. Though, I see her claiming some sort of "True Sith" back to the Banite rules that were successful for a millennia until Sidious "corrupted" it. Or something. Or even a Pre-Banite Sith Order as a dark reflection of the Jedi. If they did Sith at all.

Do you like Mass Effect? Once More into the Void is basically the rules light, Mass Effect style RPG that plays in 1-3 sessions. The physical copies are $20 and whatever doesn't sell is going to be pulped bc it's too expensive to send them back up into Canada for storage.

Reading through the Archie Comics Mega-Man run and there's ANOTHER Sonic crossover?!? These are hella fun comics with surprisingly deep themes. The most hilarious thing from the first crossover with Sonic was that Robotnik suggested that they just murder Dr. Light which appalled Dr. Wily. Lol

My Production brain immediately goes to the logistics on this. They're all in costume and makeup. So, they grabbed these shots when they could during production. I would say either in a screening room, or maybe just two theater chairs, tented with black & that hard "projector" back edge light.

Watching on slo-mo, for nerdity, she moves super fast compared to the others. Also, the turn over her right shoulder feels super weird, because she's not reacting to anything or looking at anyone. Compared to her first turn over the left shoulder, where she seems to be looking at Anthony Mackie.

I like that it's a proper length. Too many of these DTC menswear companies sell short jackets. It's also nice that the model isn't waifishly thin, but more broader built models would be another welcome change.

I had thought Kindberg had taken over the Rey movie and incorporated it into his trilogy? To be honest, all the Chapek announcements that just vanished really put a "believe it when I see it" vibe on any announcements, let alone these rumors that were originally scooped by sus sources.

If HR or Deadline made the announcement first, it would have far more credibility. Since they're just recapping two super sus sources? Nah. We've gone down this road before. Hell, movies were greenlit and then evaporated. But whatever, you do you too.
