Question for spinners how would you prepare this wool for spinning? It's got lots of curls, clumps and some VM in it, so I'm not able to spin as consistently as I'd like. It was fine for learning on but after spinning some other fibers I'm starting to think this is a prep issue and not a me issue

Plied up two nano bobbins of alpaca on my new #eew 6.1. this thing is so much more powerful, the uptake is beautiful, and my yarn has yet to get caught on the guides. The foot switch is also fun. Also the bobbins feel enormous after using the nano 🧶 #handspun #fiber #spinning

Dyed wool experiment. Spinning session 1: I love how much deeper the color becomes after spinning it. I may need some fiber prep tools if I want to dye my wool because getting it wet and then drying it seems to have flattened a lot of the fluff. I ended up "hand comb"-ing it? If that's a thing

Spinning Consistency/thinness practice with some Romney/cheviot mix I got for free. Managed to fit an 12 yards more on my nano bobbin this time so I think I'm getting finer on average but also this fiber is much easier to spin finer bc of the way it sticks to itself 🧶

I saw someone post about doing it twice on the same project and thought "This could never happen to me" I literally cast on the Lisbeth hood the same day and noticed I was twisted about 6 rows in. Luckily that part will be invisible in the final piece anyway so I just twisted it back over

Very very mixed results trying to chain ply on a eew mini 2 (nano 1.1?) Think I need to upgrade the yarn guides, figure out the friction issue preventing uptake, and get some more bobbins but also not sure chain plying is totally feasible on this tiny thing until I can spin consistently finer 🧶
