By far the most rigorous, interesting, intelligent and FUN theatre happening at the State Theatre Company South Australia right now is in their independent artist's platform. And it's GREAT to see such brilliant theatre supported, and to see such great artists working in Adelaide.

I've been thinking a lot about the first psychologist I saw and every week she asked if I was thinking about killing myself and I just thought that was what psychologists do and it took me a long time to realise nope she was worried about me.

Fashion critic Robin Givhan on the Met Gala/Galliano mess www.nytimes.com/2026/09/01/o...
Critics of the now-canceled exhibition are right that the designer should not be venerated. The proposed exhibition on Mr. Galliano's work was an acknowledgment of his influence, not a judgment of his morality.
Hagiography was not preordained.

The Met Gala was an entirely different concern. And that's what should have been canceled. It never should have been attached to this exhibition.
