AI CEOs are in awe that their models can, given few constraints, hack autonomously. They're also wracked with a vague fear that their products will soon hack the entire internet. I reported on how it's very curious that they seem utterly disinterested in working with cybersecurity experts on this.

What's new is not that the #Tibetans are a PRC collection target. It's that one operator with a commercial model now does the work of an analyst team, on a daily cadence, & that a Western AI company holds account level evidence of it and chose to publish. Caveats. @anthropic.com threat team only sees what ran through #Claude; the same desks using DeepSeek or Qwen are invisible to it. Cases are pseudonymous, no indicators published. Attribution is graded, and the report is candid that its own safeguards held unevenly.

Sources across all three were entirely open: X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, alongside WeChat, Weibo, Douyin. What #Tibetan institutions and staff publish is the raw material. #Cloudflare Bot control on your own site is basic hygiene, but the control that matters is what goes online.
