I usually design my business cards to be conversation-starters. But at after too many endless awkward discussions at recent events, I realized I needed a new type of card. The conversation-ender.

I made this a few years ago as part of a @cloudscapecomics.com exhibit on community. The challenge was to make a one-panel comic (would that technically be only a cartoon and not a comic @scottmccloud.bsky.social ?) but I got around that limitation by using trees as pseudo-panels.

Forgotten Island was a wonderful film. The colour design was so beautiful and I'm glad I got to see it theatres. I laughed and cried, and it had so many fresh and interesting designs and ideas.

A Sydney factory roof grew 14,000 native plants under its 319 solar panels and they made 11 percent more electricity over the summer than a bare array, because the leaves cool the air under the glass, and on the hottest days the roof ran 50 degrees cooler than bare aluminum.
