Spent 2+ weeks in Dallas in August. In district that went for Trump in 2016, 20, 24. Absolute heart of Cornyn territory this year. Saw *hundreds* of Talarico signs. Exactly one for Paxton. Yards signs are not votes. But was interesting. Cornyn would have coasted in.

It just occurred to me today that the GOP used the legislative process with Reagan to pass mega-spending bills that gave some money/project to every legislator in order to get it to pass. Trump GOP does the same, but dark money and quid pro quo, buy offs and extortion, nyet? Nothing gets done. @

Killed. NSF’s SBE was killed, in violation of law. The President does not have the power to choose to kill programs at a whim by defunding them. The imperial presidency was a mistake and we are in a separation of powers constitutional crisis.
