Apropos of current news, when one of my friends took the test to become a Resident Assistant (RA) at a dorm, there was a question that automatically fails you if you answer wrong. They ask if someone reports a rape, do you call the campus or the police? Guess which answer is wrong. Go ahead.

I read something a while back about how if you get in a fight and your pants fall down, you have lost that fight, no matter what else happened. Next game I run I am going to have a character's pants fall down at 0 HP instead of more lethal consequences. #ttrpg

Now that my whole mini-golf section of my scenario is complete, I am proud of one thing. I didn't contrive any supernatural reasons that the players could not cheat. While it seems like there would be some prohibition, It is actually totally indifferent to that and they can engage with it or not.

The interesting thing about the mini golf scenario in BONED is striking the balance between how much to elide. Eliding nothing and making it narrative is where I start, but it felt a bit too wide open. Eliding everything down to just a roll and results felt pointless.

You know, you don't really need to ask your players "What do you do" in the first place. It's completely unnecessary and reduces players to a sort of reactive role, like a video game or choose your own adventure book.

The kid dragged me to a Pokemon convention, which was not as awful as I feared. Nerd smell was minimal despite the crowd, people were generally polite, and they were very generous about giving out freebies to kids.

For the Zelda discourse, I don't give a hot damn about graphics and hope we get even better towns, dungeons, NPCs, items, and fights. That said, getting all bent out of shape because the characters look wet is pretty stupid when it is obviously raining in the scene. Of course they look wet.

For MUTANANNY, adding more specific Perks related to Dump Rep for players to choose from. Like apprenticeships, food cart access, language clubs, motor pool, etc. Thinking of tying in related duties to match the privilege but the way they got the rep in the first place overlaps with it a lot.
