The few “anti-genocide” progressives all support Hakeem Jeffries, leading recipient of AIPAC funds, staying in power.

I have a 19yo trans kid, we have been very lucky being in Scotland and her transitioning socicially in '14 and getting into the gac system early. I don't know what lies in wait for us, for her, in Scotland but do you mind if I ask you why go to Oz if the same fascist shit is happening there?

Fair enough, but I think that has always been common and remains common. What's uncommon is seeing that trick being used to talk about corruption, wealth inequality, socialism etc. Which is why people like Mamdani and Polanski are so refreshing.

What you're describing is still very common, infuriating in its prevalence in fact. El-Sayed is doing something I've never known to be common: shame the journalist for running with right-wing framing and answer a question that matters (in this case Trump's corruption)

I feel like this is opposite though...Blair was master of liberal bafflegabbing, obfuscation....not answering the question, instead saying nothing if substance. We're talking about obfuscating questions (about culture wars etc) being avoided in favour of talking about things that actually matter?
