This two-year, graduate research assistant position will focus on supercell-squall line merger research with me at Ohio University. My research group has begun building a supercell-squall line merger climatology. This presents an opportunity to expand our understanding of these merger environments (beyond our current understanding) and the role of the convective life cycle of supercells and squall lines at the time of a merger on the mesoscale dynamics that influence the rear inflow.
