For atmospheric science students looking for a funded M.S. opportunity for Fall 2026, the esteemed @dblountwx.bsky.social has a Graduate Research Assistantship position open at Ohio University! See the original post for more details: www.linkedin.com/feed/update/...

I’m excited to announce that I am seeking a student to begin working with me in fall 2026. This two-year, graduate research assistant position will focus on supercell-squall line merger research with me at Ohio University. My research group has begun building a supercell-squall line merger climatology. This presents an opportunity to expand our understanding of these merger environments (beyond our current understanding) and the role of the convective life cycle of supercells and squall lines at the time of a merger on the mesoscale dynamics that influence the rear inflow.

This opportunity is open for students looking to earn an M.S. degree in geography with a focus on meteorology. Find out more about the degree here: https://lnkd.in/gx-_sEfG. If you are interested in this position, please reach out to me at dvblount@ohio.edu. The deadline to apply is January 15, 2026.
