Hey folks, About that AI opt-out feature Twitch was talking about? It's not just the streamers that have to turn that off. EVERYONE has to turn it off, because anything on your account, including the clips you make, will be fed to that infernal, ignominious devil machine if you don't. /1

I'd argue that, for the metrics, it's vastly MORE important that viewers turn this off. There's more viewers than streamers, so even if every streamer turned this off, if viewers don't, the executives can still claim that "most users don't care" and cram it down our throats even harder. Opt out.

Twitch now uses your channel to train generative AI by default. You can opt out of some training here: www.twitch.tv/settings/sec...

Training for Generative AI

Allow your channel content to train generative AI content models at Amazon. Turning this off does not opt you out of Twitch and Amazon using your channel content for other purposes described in the Twitch Privacy Notice, including using AI-supported Twitch features that benefit the community by facilitating streamer growth and monetization (such as real-time sponsorship campaign assistance), viewer discovery (such as recommendations), and community safety (such as AutoMod). ⚠️Attention to all my streamers⚠️ I'm unsure how aware everyone is, but #Twitch is once again trying to bake Gen AI and Survailance BS into it's settings! Do the following: Stream Dashboard > Settings > Stream > Under "Enable Clips" Also, DO NOT JOIN the waitlist for the "Auto Clips"!

We really should stop calling it "age verification." Because that is not what it is. Call it "forced doxxing" instead. Most people think the concept of age verification and protecting kids online is common sense. So we must rebrand it to reveal its true purpose, which is something they will fear.

"You know what AI can't do? It can't do what you do" I keep telling my students this repeatedly. In every flawed, broken, half-thought out word or line or drawing you produce, there is more thought, creativity, and joy than there ever could be in gAI output. Don't let them stop you.

Hey so if you're in the USA, the FCC is floating the idea of making shows put a warning up if they include or discuss trans people and trans lives. A short paragraph saying this is messed up would help a lot! You gpt less than a week. Submit your comment by May 22: www.fcc.gov/ecfs/filings...

In a Public Notice released on April 22, 2026, the FCC is asking Americans to submit comments about whether the TV Oversight Management Board (TVOMB) should create new TV ratings to alert viewers to "transgender and gender non-binary programming" and "the discussion or promotion of gender identity themes."

I truly wish every dev who doesn’t use AI would do this. Would make my job infinitely easier since I wouldn’t have to spend nearly as much time scouring their images, music, VO, or text for GenAI tells. Plus it would make the chuds big mad in the best way.

𝙔𝙤𝙟𝙞 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙖𝙬𝙖 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚 Ouroboros form Sena - Xenoblade Chronicles 3 #xenoblade #nintendo

From Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (2022) for the Nintendo Switch console family - the Interlinked Ouroboros form of Sena and Lanz, with Sena being in control.
One knee is on the ground, with the other leg straightened out to the side. Her body is twisting slightly as her head faces to our right, and her body faces to our left. Her long ponytail like appendage that ends in a ring of blue flames flows directly behind her and ends on the left of the page. She has two huge hand like wings that float next to her shoulders. While they would usually be spread out wide at either side, I have drawn them to be tucked or closed, pointing straight behind her instead, in order to fit them on the page. The art style is inspired by Yoji Shinkawa, artist of the Metal Gear series, with a focus on expressive ink brush work, and harsh black/white values to create shapes and forms.

see? here's the thing. A lot of people are like, the earth is fucked, it's beyond salvation, it's hit the tipping point, but time and time again we see that if we just fucking fixed the problem, it rebounds so incredibly fast. Imagine what could be done if people actually cared
