On point 2, by having conference-affiliated refs for out of conference games, you’re perceived not to be fair even if you’re scrupulously fair. Gotta use refs who don’t seem to have a conflict due to their employer.

Oh… been offline for a few days. Big ten says they had a camera/timer that wasn’t available in the broadcast. Probably true. Two major issues here: 1 my regular rant about replay being used to split hairs, especially at end of games. Sucks the soul out of sports. 2 why is big ten hiring the refs?

Suggestion: never concede that "A.i." writing is "polished" because it might be grammatical. "Polish" isn't about grammar. It's about ensuring that each sentence and word plays an essential role in forming a coherent argument or effect. The repetitive blandness of "A.i." writing has zero polish.

The broadcast wouldn't shut up about Hanks's rehab before and after the goal. But they missed the story, when Moultrie and Hanks had a long embrace and conversation. One woman at the end of the recovery journey, one at the beginning. Hope Moultrie's return is as sweet. #BAONPDX
