the gunnery inputs are supposed to be complicated and almost inscrutable at first glance and once again i have succeeded too much, done too good of a job.
Godot editor view. A long list of inputs and variables overshoots the screen area.

capitalism in extreme decay needs 1. social democracy (liberals, labour, democrats) to disorganize and destabilize revolutionary momentum, and 2. fascism to defeat the disorganized people's movement. that's why social democrats are fascism's opposition (at least nominally), but not its opponents.

when you change the cartridge on your bathtub faucets you have to decide if they both open when you turn them to the left or if they open when you rotate them "out" (the right cartridge goes in upside down so it opens when u turn it right) and no matter what you think is intuitive, you are wrong.

the lore afaik is that, in the song Across the Sea (where rivers from weezer returns a japanese fan's love letter), despite him saying "you are... 18 year old girl" in the lyrics, in the demo, he said a different number than 18 (not a better one!) but i cant find a source. chat - this true?

cars are the number one killer of cops. being a cop is mostly a dangerous job because you drive a car around most of the day, and motor vehicle operator is one of the most dangerous jobs in our society outside mining, fishing, and logging.

ok the secret speyside arm day is 4 sets biceps (usually db hammer curls), 4 sets triceps (tate press), 4 sets forearms, then 4 x superset biceps and triceps (db bicep curls / overhead tricep extension) that last superset is brutal, u can really feel it working

this is a new one, the artist pick is like, a sponsored merch collab? lol idk who's buying a 300 euro effect pedal off spotify but if you're on there looking at sun, ur some kinda sicko so, not a bad strategy
spotify page for Sunn O)))) (pronounced "sun") showing as the "artist pick" an effect pedal with the text EARTHQUAKER DEVICES & SUNN O))) "Half-Life Pedal"
Sunn o))) is a drone/doom band known for an extremely loud, slow, and heavy sound. It's a niche subgenre for weirdos like me.

in resident evil 1 and 2 you play as a cop doing cop activities - in RE2 you go to the police station thinking it's safe, this is inverted (the horror trope of fake saviors/villains) mb there's an ACAB resident evil tho, like, the cops ARE there and they 28 Days Later you is an obvious step further.

if you try to use google's "site:[url]" function to find a specific term on a specific website, web scraping blockers meant to protect the server and its performance will null the search out and return no results. but most sites don't have their own internal keyword search so you just can't do that.

this is just post-modern capitalism - it doens't believe we can have a shared definition of progress and our institutions can work towards it. like this tech is in no way emancipatory under its own account of itself, unless emancipatory means something entirely different to you.

it is funny how quickly employers decided to forego the benefits of remote working (which are demonstrable on both employee and employer side, but require a degree of organizational buy-in) but how all-in they are on AI (which requires alot of the org for speculative benefits and none for the EE

its funny that every season of reacher has him save sex once, like - why? 1. the scene establishes sex will happen offscreen. it isnt showing sex to titilate you like ie bridgerton. 2. it doesnt matter to plot or character. reacher doesnt need a reason to care, we already know every woman wants him

it's a recent thing, like, the last 50 years, growing exponentially, that tech has been deployed entirely for profit with no capacity to reduce drudgery (that is, to empower our labour). increasingly i think the postmodern skepticism in "progress" is more an invention of that a response to fascism

liberal social democracy and fascism are the ruling class's two tools to keep themselves in unchecked power. the former (sheeran) enriches itself by disorganizing and diverting legit people's movements, the latter (robinson) can then be called on to smash them with extrajudicial violence.

ndp win in calgary shaw is really good news. historic conservative stronghold, ucp won it +40 in 2019. cautious tho. the ndp win is still only a plurality, and the ndp aren't the main party eating off the ucp plate. the liberals performance here is going to be high since roggeveen is their leader.

cabinet accidentally made a decision that didn't have the amount of cruelty it normally would (i do not draft the decision docs in my role, tho i should), so in writing the law to enact that decision ppl keep being like "no. no there should be more cruelty in this. that can't be what they meant"

i just dont think it is (or should be) controversial that when people who are fonts of human misery die, the world becomes a better place and thats a good thing. nor do i see how we can avoid concluding that whatever power we had inside our institutions to make the world better is gone or vanishing!

fascism has never won power in an actual revolution (the ruling class have each time incubated, protected, empowered, and eventually handed the reigns to it) but this only works once social democrat liberals have disorganized/demoralized popular mass movements w/ toothless, doomed-to-fail reformism.

there are 2 types of games, menus and parkour, and to make a menus game you need to do the tedious work of stitching together a bunch of code for calling and populating UI, and for parkour you need to do the tedious work of rigging animations and calling blendstates from code.

sometimes in minesweeper you cannot avoid guessing and if u r building a minesweeper game, you should just have it move the mine if the player clicks on it in that situation. it's a dark souls ass game otherwise

theres a big difference between a planes max weight for takeoff vs landing. a neat version of this problem is that a stealth bombers can take off with its bombs on board, but the plane would be too heavy to safely land with them, so they need to drop the bomb and there's a planned backup bomb site.

an ad hominem is a logical fallacy in the same way it is not rational to buy a lottery ticket (it's technically correct, but only for an idealized economic actor who isnt bound by a human lifetime or similar constraints, does not have feelings, etc. and so may not particularize to literally anyone)

trade war is the same thing as war, a state sponsored kneecapping of productive forces in the service of big capital remaining profitable and powerful; it is war Lite. (as war is the perfect expression of the imperative to destroy products and production, holocaust is the perfect expression of war)

this is the crisis; progress is possible, but not profitable under the way we organize society. there are only 2 options: 1. commit to progress and change the way we have organized society (the path of communism), 2. commit to the organization of society and resist progress (the path of fascism)

its kind of funny that Flat Earth is a quasi-conspiracy theory but it works 180 degrees from how they usually do, i.e., it says "things are actually exactly as they appear"
