Do Websites Need to Function Exactly the Same on Every Platform?
While we’ve accepted that websites don't need to look the same everywhere, we seem to be stuck on a new hurdle: the idea that websites need to function the same everywhere.

Safari and Firefox change how big sites render based on the domain. TikTok, Netflix, Instagram… even SeatGuru. Chrome doesn’t. Why is that?

Fair enough. For me, I am not overly worried about DRY. I tend to use shorthands too, but only a) when it's clear to all our devs, and b) where I can recall correct usage 😄 I was coming at this from a slightly different perspective, more in relation to the article than your take. Apologies for that

#tinyCSStip I like shorthands, I find them immensely useful. But it doesn't always make sense to drop it all in the shorthand and having repetitions. Yeah, you can store that `.2s` in a #CSS variable. But is it really worth it if you're not even using it elsewhere in addition to not being dynamic?
.nay { /* ❌ DON'T ❌ */

.yay { /* ✅ DO ✅ */
