Just for awareness of the area around Nasser Hospital and central/northern Khan Yunis, there's some partial @planet.com SkySat from yesterday showing an IDF outpost about 2.5km NE of the hospital and the heavy destruction that's taken place since June. Most recent SkySat over Nasser was August 4.
A composite of two satellite images from Planet Labs from August 4 and August 24 2025. The satellite images are annotated to show the heavy destruction in the city on August 24 and the overview of the area near Nasser Hospital on August 4. An IDF outpost with vehicles is visible in the August 24 imagery about 2.5km NE of the hospital — previous imagery shows the IDF have been there since early June 2025. Another part of the August 24 imagery is annotated to show the general area where a Reuters cameraman was filming before being hit in today's IDF strike. PlanetScope imagery from August 24 and August 25 shows there's been recent destruction in that area.

Very concerning that mass shooters are starting to adopt a style of "shitposting" that combines the aesthetics of Tarrant-style Nazism with a self-aware, terminally-online-zoomer nihilism. Nothing in these manifestos (or written on AR-15s) should be taken literally.

While starving Gaza and its 80% refugee population, Israel is expanding its war on Palestinian refugees—and on their very ‘refugee-ness’—in the West Bank.
While starving Gaza and its 80% refugee population, Israel is expanding its war on Palestinian refugees—and on their very ‘refugee-ness’—in the West Bank.

Our updated analysis shows that the Israeli military is continuing to carve up the refugee camps of Tulkarm, Jenin and Nur Shams to establish new military routes, displace Palestinians, and dismantle historic centres of resistance.

By demolishing homes and repeatedly uprooting Palestinians, Israel is not only forcing them from place to place—itself a form of physical and psychological warfare—but attempting to erase the fact that these locations were ever refugee camps at all and weaken Palestinian demand for return.

Each wave of displacement seeks to dissolve the Palestinian refugee identity and undermine the population’s political, historical and legal claims.

As first pointed out by @annonemo.bsky.social and @nrg8000.bsky.social, video shared by the IDF labeled as Hamas tunnels under the European Hospital shows neither tunnels nor the European Hospital - it shows water flowing in the Jenin Secondary School for Boys. Compare it to this 2024 Airbus image.
June 2024 imagery, from Airbus via Google Earth shows water flowing in that same pattern.A screencap from an infrared video filmed by an IDF drone shared on twitter by @IDFonline. The video in the post was captioned "European Hospital" and the dark lines in the school courtyard were highlighted and labeled as "The underground infrastructure exposed after the attack."

Alarming amount of destruction in Rafah visible in recent @planet.com imagery. The city, already heavily damaged by the IDF previously, is now almost entirely gone with previously intact neighborhoods like Al Jneineh or Khirbet Al 'Adas now being further demolished. Comparison of April 29 & May 7.
A PlanetScope image from Planet Labs showing southern Gaza's city of Rafah on April 29. A large amount of destruction is visible, with much of the city having been demolished by the IDF. Rafah's municipal stadium is visible with a UAE Field Hospital and the newly created "Moraj Corridor" road is visible.A PlanetScope image from Planet Labs showing southern Gaza's city of Rafah on April 29.
