My scrap veggie and bone bags in the freezer were finally full today, so going to pull out the big, tall stock pot from the back of the cupboard and roast the bones and veggies and make a stock. If I am feeling adventurous, I might actually try to turn this into a consommé tomorrow.

Remember when the “clone your dead grandmother with AI” companies were all the rage. Whatever happened to them? I still can’t imagine paying an AI company to “clone” a loved one and then having to pay them hostage money ad infinitum for the rest of your life. What a weird business model.

Crazy that it doesn't exist because there are two feature length movies which are basically this plot, but in movie form: Gumball Rally (1976) and Cannonball Run (1981). Make that, into a game. And sure, monetize the shit out of cool 70s paintjobs, skins and cars from the era. but the core is SOLID.

if i was doing it, it would a seasonal, extraction-survival rogue-like racing game—which maybe sounds terrible on paper, but I think it spot on for the genre. Each season there is a new route, clearing a route gives you cash and powerups for the next run. Everyone is competing against everyone.

There are certain games which I'm honestly surprised don't exist. Today's entry in "Games that don't exist, but really should" is a legit Cannonball Run adaptation. A multiplayer non-open-world, cross-country race, on state highways and interstates, between multiple crew with customizable cars.

I wouldn’t really read any Gibson and Stephenson until my late-teens/early-twenties at which point I was like “oh, I see what’s going on now”

I first learned about this game from the demo window at my local Babbages, they had a CRT playing the intro from it on loop and I was mesmerized. little brother and I played the crap out of it over summer break that year. it might have been my first introduction to “cyberpunk” as an early teen.
