Over the many years of delay, some 'people on the internet' have suggested - jokingly, I'd have thought, but it's hard to tell in Tesla-adjacent discussions - that the reason for the delay was that it would be able to fly.

Oh, steelmaking "could begin" in 2030 and "could support" less than 2000 jobs. Maybe let's not pin our hopes on scraping the leftovers out of played out iron ranges...

No, I don't like this one bit! It's a shame and it's embarrassing. But unless you're prepared to argue that every single news org has a right to access, there is ultimately a decision to be made by the WH. CNN has no legal right to access, only rights re: the revocation of that access once granted.
110 1
j-m-i.bsky.social @j-m-i.bsky.social · 24/09/2026
The reality is that the WH *does* control and limit access to organizations, and those determinations are ultimately arbitrary due to limited space/time/etc. If the current WH prefers NewsMax and co, that's their prerogative - National Security need not enter into the conversation.

j-m-i.bsky.social @j-m-i.bsky.social · 24/09/2026
Yes and no. The real sticking point here - as argued - is the lack of notice, not the content of the reporting. There's nothing stopping the WH from banning these orgs in due time, only that they've violated norms re: revoking that access. They could easily file notice, and revoke in due course.
