Also, many of those who left Russia in 2022 have already returned. The current wave of emigration is nowhere near as significant. I've lost count of the number of times that Russia has been declared to be on the verge of collapse, whether economically, militarily or demographically.

The words 'compared to Ukraine' should have been enough of a clue. By all the metrics you listed, Russia is doing much better. Russia's population is currently projected to shrink by 10–15 million by the end of the century, which is by no means catastrophic.

Watched a France24 piece about how millions of Egyptians live in Cairo slums. Cramped poorly made concrete mazes where multi generational families share tiny filthy living spaces without clean running water. And middle class Germans will vote far-right over some vague sense of middle class malaise.

Not to mention that many people in Moldova and Transnistria already hold EU passports. Transnistrians commonly hold Moldovan citizenship, as well as Romanian, Russian or Ukrainian citizenship.

I very much doubt that Russia will go to war with the EU/NATO over Moldova's accession to the EU and/or unification with Romania. Transnistria doesn't border Russia, so Russia has hardly any leverage. The people of Transnistria don't seem very militant about any of it either.
