Hmmmm...damn. It kinda loses out on some of its messaging in the end. I guess the film is more about Jennifer's insecurities around Needy and the toxic expectations of girls to be held to something they're not, but I wonder if there's a stronger alternate ending out there. Still a great film, 4/5.

Cate Blanchett is 5 stars, Jack Black is 4, the rest is 3. Still an incredible horror movie for kids and first timer horror fans that wanna swim in the shallow end or watch something that won't haunt them forever.
