My name is Hannah, I've been making comics forever and I've had Patreon for nearly as long. Neither has proven particularly profitable, but I continue doing both. At this point you might be realizing I'm not very bright and have never had my best interests in mind. Again, I commend you for your intellect.

On my page you'll find all kinds of nonsense. Comics, fan art, sketchbook pages, characters I swear up and down I'll do something with, then never do, that sort of thing. I've structured the payment tiers to be identical in their rewards, with a pay-what-you-want style.* Who am I to determine whether a peek into a sketchbook or a polished piece of fan art is worth, really.

It's great to see tailoring accommodate such extreme movement today. This level of tailoring was a bit more common in the past, as you can see in old films featuring Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly, but many modern suits will lift off the wearer's neck even when they're just walking.

What look like lashes are modified feathers, not hairs, and researchers have proposed that they may help protect the eye from airborne particles during flight. Ever since he successfully reformed his Golden Core with Lan Wangji's assistance, Wei Wuxian had graduated from merely scaling eaves and walls to soaring through the sky and traversing the earth. In the past, when he took the juniors on night-hunts, he would tire slightly after just two hours and ask Lan Wangji to take him back to rest; now, however, he could dash about wild mountains, ancient paths, or frozen wastelands for three days straight-and still drag Lan Wangji along, far from satisfied.

Lan Qiren and the other Gusu elders watched this with mounting distress, feeling a headache coming on; it was as if they were witnessing a replay of the chaos that had once plagued Gusu. Terrified, they practically longed to add even more rules to the four thousand etched on the stone wall at the mountain gate, just to restore a sense of propriety!

Yet, no matter how excellent a Golden Core might be, he was still human; if it was cold, he would still feel the chill. Returning in such a disheveled state and diving straight under the covers suggested he was truly frozen through.

After all, the process of forming the core had involved more than just Wei Wuxian's own experimentation and Lan Wangji's exhaustive research into ancient texts and spiritual herbs; Lan Qiren had also kept a close watch, frequently advising them on the safest methods. Otherwise, how could a high-grade Golden Core have been cultivated in a mere year? Wei Wuxian didn't want to make the old man so angry that his beard bristled again quite so soon, so he decided to behave himself for a few days. But only for a few.

The two chatted for a while. After a full day of activity, Wei Wuxian began to grow drowsy as they spoke. He lolled on the couch and turned over, nearly rolling right off-had Lan Wangji not been quick enough to catch him just in time.

Lan Wangji gave a helpless, slight shake of his head, sat up, and looked down at the person beside him. After a long moment, he whispered softly, "Ying."

Wei Wuxian mumbled groggily, "What?"

He intended to carry the papers back the way he had brought them, but they were too light; a gentle breeze swept through, scattering them all over the desk. Wei Wuxian let out a cry of dismay, but Lan Wangji remained calm -after all, he had tidied up desks in far worse states of disarray than this. He gathered the scattered notes, tidied them into a neat stack, and set them aside, weighing them down with a jade rabbit paperweight.

Once, after a night-hunt, the two had gone to play by a mountain stream; Wei Wuxian had spent ages treading across the rocky shallows before picking up a white stone that was smooth and lustrous. Lan Wangji had brought it back to the Cloud Recesses and polished it, bit by bit, into its current form. The process was almost like an immortal transforming a rough mountain stone into a living spirit.

Wei Wuxian watched him diligently organizing the documents, then glanced at the plump white jade rabbit resting on the pale, moon-yellow Xuan paper; his eyes crinkled into a smile. The top sheet of the notes bore Lan Sizhui's name, prompting him to ask curiously, "What kind of cornments did you give Sizhui?"

The corners of Lan Wangji's lips twitched slightly as he spoke softly, "Wei Ying."

"What is it?"

"Tomorrow... I would like to go as well." "You're done with your work? Come along, then!" Wei Wuxian's spirits suddenly lifted at the news. "Oh, right- Hanguang-jun, I'm out of money. How about you 'bestow' a little more on me?"
