UPDATE: Donkey Kong Bananza's Emerald Rush events ARE returning! Starting tomorrow, you'll have plenty more chances to unlock the special in-game character statues, with each event running for an entire month at a time. It begins in October with Chip Fever and the Enguarde and Kong Bananza statues!

Its just occured to me the tower phase of dk bananzas final boss is an inversion of the original arcade game. In the arcade game, donkey kong throws barrels at you to stop you from rescuing one “pauline.” Now, you’re throwing things to stop the boss to PROTECT pauline

Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.
