The best kind of performance regression: my optimization branch is slower on some codepaths I didn't touch... because it doesn't include a different, earlier optimization that was merged into main after I branched. Merged forward, "regression" solved.

IBM stock is down 25% right now on a sales miss. Per Bloomberg "The company attributed the miss to customers shifting their spending to chips and servers amid AI-fueled shortages." I'd be more sympathetic if I didn't keep hearing IBM ads pushing AI on podcasts.
