I find the notion that LLMs writing your code for you are just like having interns or junior engineers to be rather offensive. Interns aren't there to do your menial work, they're there to learn new skills. Junior engineers are hired with the idea that they will become senior engineers, which […]

1. Test fails in CI, on macOS. 2. Can't reproduce with similar config on Linux. 3. Can't reproduce with simpler case on macOS, so probably I'm missing some key info. 4. Try running actual test on macOS, and Python segfaults! I am now being distracted by idea of adding voice recognition to my […]

Interesting graph, via Mike Hoerger of pmc19.com: there are 3 million additional US workers with disability since 2020. Source: fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LNU01074…
Graph of workers over 16 in the USA with disability. Pretty stable around 6 million until early 2021, when it dramatically goes up, hitting 9 million people in 2026.

@creepy_owlet Tried it, it failed to get native callstacks for some reason (possibly due to specialized environment). I need to a file a bug but haven't gotten to yet. Note that you really want to read the docs, the default settings may not be what you want.

@trs It keeps failing with the Yubi Authenticator app (claiming it's disabled in the key), except one time out of 100 it does work. In actual real usage it never works. Could be my specific physical phone, or phone model, or could be firmware version on keys, could be iOS bug... dunno.

I logged in to LinkedIn to see a page full of people praising DHH, got mad, and wrote this. Less than 12 hours later I got an email telling me "Your post doesn’t comply with our Professional Community Policies on bullying and harassment. It’s been removed […] [Original post on mastodon.social]
A LinkedIn post from me that reads "DHH is openly a Nazi. You should not promote anything he is doing or relay his opinions on software development. It is shocking to me when I open this app and see people casually discussing his opinions on AI or interface design or whatever, as if he were a "thought leader". He is an open advocate for mass murder. It doesn't matter what else he thinks, do not promote his ideas." followed by the text "Only you can see this post because this content goes against our Professional Community Policies."

My test: 1. Fails if I run all tests. 2. Passes if I run it alone. 3. Passes if I add a print() statement and then run all tests.
